The birth of Jesus Christ. Yet, every other holiday is celebrated for their meanings, i.e, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha (Muslim holidays)
Why is it that only Christmas is never celebrated for it's true meaning and it's been turned into a holiday just to provoke buying and spending. Almost as if it's one big joke of a holiday.
Why is that even on Christmas Day itself I can't see people in life or on tv say, "Merry Christmas!". Instead I get told, "Happy Holidays!". Why jews get told happy Hanukkah and black people are told Happy Kwanzaa on their day of holiday?
But us Christians can't be told Merry Christmas on tv during commercials? Almost like this holiday is controversial and an abomination to America. I bet 90% of this country wouldn't even care about this day if it wasn't about getting stupid pointless gifts. Yes, I know Jesus got gifts on the day he was born, but that didn't take away from the true meaning of the day.
Everywhere else it's celebrated the right way without it being the main focus of making into one giant business day. We have Black Friday and Summer time for that crap.
I just don't understand it anymore. I bet you other religions would NEVER let their holiday be overtaken by consumer products. They'd rather die.
