Kicking off the week is this post packed with tips from the wonderful Claire over at My Cava Lifestyle. Enjoy!! Long weekends and mini breaks are vastly underestimated.
Thought to be the right of the couple, taking your children away for a few nights is not only affordable but let's everyone vent their stress and actually enjoy each others company.
So, Define Affordable, I hear you snort.
It is true that many hotels are expensive with extortionate breakfasts, so don't stay there. Find a good Bed and Breakfast with a family room. There's loads crying out for your business and the breakfasts are usually amazing!
Hire a static caravan for the weekend. I used to hire mine out for £100 for 4 nights and it was rarely empty. It's a great option if you don't want to eat out as you can be quite frugal.
Then there's the Offers. There are offers everywhere from The Sun £15 holidays to the Centre Parcs midweek deals. My friend goes on all of these, she loves them. Sign up for newsletters so you can grab the bargains as soon as they're released.
And if you really are a hotel dweller, ring up to get their very best offer. Almost all hotels have empty rooms they need to sell. Several hotels in St Annes have Friday to Sunday offers on a number of rooms. You just have to ask!
Hopefully you'll be inspired to get out and enjoy our beautiful country and give yourselves a real relaxing break. I'm off to pack now, I quite fancy the Lake District for a few days!
